Rosacea Treatment

We can treat rosacea with laser skin therapy

The symptoms of rosacea : redness and visible blood vessels (thread veins, telangiectasias) can be successfully improved with vascular laser or intense pulsed light (IPL) treatment. These treatments may also improve flushing. Laser and IPL machines produce narrow beams of light that are aimed at the visible blood vessels in the skin. The heat from the lasers damages the dilated (widened) red veins and causes them to shrink so they are no longer visible, with minimal damage to surrounding tissue or scarring. There is evidence that the light also helps with remodelling of the skin matrix so it provides vessels with better support.

Depending on the intensity of your treatment, laser skin rejuvenation feels like the skin is being pinched slightly. We apply an anaesthetic cream beforehand to maximise your comfort.

Treatment varies depending which area you are having treated with laser skin rejuvenation. No recovery time is required.

Your skin may look a little pink with slight swelling. This should completely disappear within 24 hours. Following your treatment, you should moisturise the skin, which will reveal a smoother, new layer of skin with improved texture and tone. It is important to avoid the sun for around four weeks.
